Failed Back Surgery Treatment
There is HOPE
YOUR POST-SURGICAL PAIN CAN BE CURED
A laminectomy involves the removal of part of the vertebrae to get rid of back pain or radiating pain from the spine. This can be due to pressure on an intervertebral disc or some form of entrapment of a spinal nerve.
This surgery is very dangerous because of its immediate proximity to the spinal cord and many protruding spinal nerves. If any of these are damaged, it will cause pain.
Post-Laminectomy pain, or Failed Back Surgery Syndrome, normally causes neuropathic pain or some form of peripheral neuropathy. In other cases, the technique used during back surgery led to spinal stenosis and causes entrapment of spinal nerves.
When this occurs, at times the patient will come out of the surgery in more pain than they came in with. This constant nerve pain can also radiate into other limbs or the torso.
